Title: Taking time
Category: happy
Blog Entry: I read the following in a devotional that was speaking about taking time to rest. But this last line of the devotional really caught my eye because as a relational person, I believe it is true.  Sometimes we are so busy doing everything, or even doing things for everyone else, that we forget the ones who really matter to us. (I'm sure many pastors and others with extremely busy ministries fall into this category).  As we heard an elder tell us one evening about what his ministry was (his wife), it brought things into perspective.  Yes, Jesus went out and ministered to many people, but He took time for the one, also, and He took time for the 12 that He was closest to, and built relationship with them so that He could send them out after He was gone. Anyway, here's the last line of the devotional: Take time for the people who matter, otherwise you'll lose them.  Busyness is a destroyer of relationships.  All the success in the world won't compensate for the joy and treasure of your family and your loved ones!
